Event Updates
Bangalore RHoKing...
with 132 individual registrations, we expected around 50 hackers to turn up, but most of the registered attendees are students and we have final exams this week, so we had low turn out of 20 people at the RHoK Bangalore.
13 hackers stayed back to form 2 teams, one took up a problem of reporting situations (civic, criminal, etc..) as we face them with a short video clip. This team is developing android app, which will record a short video clip and upload to a server and send the URL to predefined close friends. Other team thought of adding value to the underprevileged schools by connecting them to video conference (even if low resolution) and offering them centralized classes by experts and volunteers.
Both the teams are dedicated to their work and wish to see their work used for real. One local group has promised them support after RHoK.
Now, second day has started and hackers are hacking away, hope to see something in action by 3 PM.
