Going the Last Mile:
Scaling the Reach of Financial Services to the Poor by Making Mifos X Mobile

At Random Hacks of Kindness Global 2012 in Dublin, SocialCoding4Good has teamed up with Mifos and the Community for Open Source Microfinance to help build a world where each person has access to the financial resources needed to create a better life for themselves and their family.

Mifos is an open source platform currently being used in more in 30 countries to deliver financial services to nearly a million people. The contributions of RHoKstar developers, designers, and product managers over the weekend will strengthen Mifos’ efforts to scale towards a vision of enabling 3 Million Maries to create a world without poverty.

Together with teams based at RHoK San Francisco and RHoK Bangalore, you'll support development of new mobile and Web applications for Mifos X. You'll be joined by members of the Mifos community and technical staff who will guide the weekend projects and share ways for you to be involved as the projects scale.
