Hosted by the Hacker Dojo, hackers came together in Mountain View, California in November 2009 for two days of hacking madness.

FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate keynoted the inaugural Random Hacks of Kindness Hackathon, raising a call to action, and challenging the programmers to think creatively about the RHoK Featured Hacks and to come up with innovative ways for families to develop emergency communications strategies.
